I finally finshed Another Day 8. I started work on it just as AD7 was released, which was January 2006! Thats terrible, really. But I'm very happy to have it finished. Its my favourite Another Day so far, definately. Go check it out on Newgrounds.com
I wrote a production diary on and off over the course of the 2 and a bit years I took to make this. The gaps in the diary pretty much represent the gaps in the work schedule. A lot of things got in the way, like Decline and Armor Games. Haha...
I'll try and get it up as a real page here on the site eventually. I've got some "making of" bits and pieces too...
Thanks to everyone here and NG for all their patience and support, my friends and family too - and to Jo for her music.

Cake!
Dim
19/03/08
Hi guys, Dim here. I recently got home for Easter holidays and my sister Maddy showed me a photo of something from a recent birthday party she went to. This is so awesome:
A James the Zebra cake! My sister has a friend called Rosie who is a massive fan of the James games....so her friends made her a cake with him on! Its so strange to think that this goes on without me knowing. And so close to home, too! Tom and I have been aware of Rosie for a good long time, she manages to get some of the top scores!
Well, she'd probably have more top scores but most of our hi-score tables end up looking something like this:
Whats going on here then? Somehow a whole bunch of people have managed to get 2147483647 points....This is from our game Solarsaurs, where its only really possible to get tens of thousands of points at most. It tends to happen after a while, either people find a way to cheat or they just hack the hi-score table, or something! It's quite annoying, actually. Do other people find this happens on their games? I remember the first instance of it was people getting "0 seconds" on the time trial from the first James game. If people want to find ways to cheat at our games then we're honoured, really. But this one is just silly!
Cosmo Cabs released, more stuff to follow.

Hey everyone. We released our newest game, "Cosmo Cabs" over at Newgrounds and Armor Games! Check it out here.
Tom and I are already whipping our next "James the Zebra" game into shape. Here's a picture for you. Yes, that is Tom, programming on top of a shark.
So, yeah, sorry about the lack of news posts....more soon!

Newest Game and Munny Competition
Dim
01/02/08
So Luis announced the winners of the Munny competition. It was judged by a bunch of NG guys over at the NG office! wow! Be sure to check it out here.
I didn't win, by the way :P oh well!
Tom and I have been working hard on our newest game, originally called "Space Taxi" it has been re-named "Cosmo Cabs".
Here's a picture of the entire world of the game. Its a 2D floaty-floaty dodgy-obstacle game with TAXI ELEMENTS. Should be a lot of fun to play, actually.
Fans of James the Zebra shouldn't be worried. We've finally got some new James games lined up. We're probably going to return to the simple arcadey-feel of the first couple. Not that Beach James wasn't great, but it just feels right to make them simple.
Oh, and
THIS GAME is a masterpiece and deserves your attention. This is the sort of platformer I wake up in the night wishing I'd animated.
I'm assuming everyone's whos interested has been keeping up with the Smash Bros news....all I can say is "wow". I'm really happy with the final roster and this image sums up exactly why I NEED THIS GAME:
Ok, see you later!

London Meetup and TSAH news
Dim
22/01/08
Hey everyone. Sorry about the lack of news posts. AGAIN. Hope you all had a good new year.
TSAH3 NEWS:
Thanks to every single person who emailed me about TSAH3. I've had a great response and its really nice to see so many new artists appearing from within Newgrounds.
Anyway RubberNinja and I went through all the entries. We made our decisions based on a number of factors, so I hope everyone can be happy with the result. Here is the final TSAH3 team!

So once again thanks to everyone who sent in a Master Chief model and I'll try and keep everyone posted with how this project is progressing!
I actually met AlmightyHans at the recent London NG meetup (See Below). He's a really awesome guy.
NG LONDON MEETUP
This weekend gone, I went to London (not very far for me) to meet up with bunch of Newgrounds regulars! The guest list was bigger than last year and included more of our American friends. It was also Luis' birthday, so we got him cake, and a bunch of rubbish presents...
I suspect Luis will be putting up all the pictures on a mini site eventually, but here's a group photo to get you started! We might make a full page/Flash for all the photos/videos later, when they've all come out of the woodwork.
It was a lot bigger and better than last year. We stayed in 2 flats (Courtesy of Luis) so we had loads of beds and showers and sofas and it was like living in a giant house with loads of friends. Quite surreal...I made some good new friends and we actually got a lot of ideas flowing about various NG things (including the infamous NG CARD GAME). So yeah, I recommend it to anyone from Newgrounds, it really gives you a sense of community.

Zebras Don't Like the Cold
Tom
18/12/07
Which is why James The Zebra has headed to a tropical beach in our latest game:
Catch some surf, dig a huge hole or play volleyball, all in one game!
We've actually been working on this game since the summer, hence the theme being... slightly late... Hopefully it'll be worth the wait. Also, this game officially marks our last game developed in ActionScript 2! It'll be ActionScript 3 all the way from now on, so you can look forward to some pretty special stuff.
See you soon!

Grimoire model and stuff
Dim
03/12/07
Ok, I just uploaded some pictures of my Detective Grimoire "Munny" to Luis'NG Munny Competition. I might get hold of more of these and make more toys like this in the future.
Thanks to everyone who has been getting in touch for the TSAH3 preparations. Some of you I've managed to email back, but there are (shockingly enough) some people who still probably haven't heard anything. The thing is, I'm just finishing my term at University and there have been a bunch of projects to be finishing off! So, please be patient with me. Everything is still going ahead. I will get back to everyone that has emailed, and I'll get back to those who I expressed interest in.
Umm...I visited Tom the other week and we did some last minute preparations on the new James game. Its SO NEARLY FINISHED. Honestly. And its awesome.
Ok, see you soon.

Spirit Guide and Models Galore!
Tom
06/11/07
Hi all!
We've just released our latest game to Newgrounds.com and ArmorGames.com - Spirit Guide! Being our first game programmed in ActionScript 3, it took a little longer to develop than usual, but now I have a good grasp of AS3 so look forward to more games in the future.
There's a new James the Zebra game in the works, and you should be seeing him pretty soon, as well as another game that we're keeping close right now, but the concept is really cool.
Dim and I want to thank everyone who sent in a Master Chief model so far, we've had some great ones already but please keep them coming. Remember, we won't just be picking the most accurate or best drawn, but the ones we really like the style of too. There's still no deadline decided yet, so you've got a while to get working.
Enjoy the game, more news soon
Tom-
TSAH3 announced
Dim
26/10/07
Well, hello everyone. We're sorry about not updating recently...or doing ANYTHING recently. I started University a few weeks ago so thats my excuse. You'll be pleased to know that Tom is working hard on finishing the newest JAMES adventure and we've got a halloween themed game all wrapped up too.
But, you guys remember when we used to make animations too? haha! yeah! we did. Aside from Another Day 8, which is waiting to be finished, theres something else on the cards at the moment.
TSAH3! thats right. Originally RubberNinja's series, recently passed into my hands. Its still a long way off, but I want to start recruiting for it soon. When the first 2 were made, Ross (RubberNinja) and I were...well, we were more in contact with the community. Nowadays, its slightly different. I don't feel so connected with all the Flash artists on NewgroundS (Its entirely my own fault). So thats why I'm going about this one a little differently, with the hope of discovering some new talent and making new connections!
HOW DO I GET A PART IN TSAH3? If you want in, what you'll need to do is this:
--Make a (Halo 3) Master Chief character model in Flash. That means seperating the legs, arms, body etc via symbols.
--Then send us (flashbros@gmail.com) the .FLA file (thats the FLASH file, NOT the .swf file)
--My favourite Chief models (not neccessarily the BEST, but the ones I like the most) will be picked to be in TSAH3 and we'll get in contact with you. This kinda makes it exciting, right? Also, if you've got other work on Newgrounds that you can link to, that'd be a GREAT HELP and may well help us come to a decision.
Oh, and don't get annoyed if disagree with entering this way, or if I don't pick your Master Chief model. You're perfectly free to make anything you want and submit it to Newgrounds! But the TSAH series belongs to me and RubberNinja :P
If you want tips for making character models, you can check out my character model tutorials. But I want every Flash animator to have had some experience with this kind of animation before, so you should know how to get started, at least.
Oh, and by the way, I'm still happy for established Flash artist to enter. Anyone who feels they could bring something to this project is encouraged to get in contact! anyone!
Thanks!
In other news, our good buddy The Swain released a new movie yesterday - Blockhead Ghostmas Special. Not only is it super awesome, it features some very familiar backgrounds...
We love you Swain! It really is an honour.
More news/games/stuff soon!

The Relic Rush
Tom
06/09/07
Hey all!
We've just released a new platformer game on NewGrounds.com - The Relic Rush! In this game, Dim had control over the level design thanks to a neat and flexible engine. Go play it!
Anyway my sister Maddy and her friends have made their own little puppet show. "Voldi's Puppet Chums". Delightful. Make sure to check it out on Youtube!
In keeping with the Puppet Pals theme, I made some Phoenix Wright puppet models in Flash and had a go at animating them. I really wanna make a full episode with these guys, but I'd feel a bit cheap. Anyway, have a look.
I'm working on a summer project for Uni at the moment. I have to make a 3D piece about my hometown. I live in a town called Sandwich. I'm thinking about making something Paper-Mario-esque. What do you guys reckon? any ideas?
OK thats about it. What!? you want some SFB news...? I don't have any! Toms coming to stay this weekend so maybe we'll have something after that!
Bye!

P.S Oh, I finally got aroud to playing Resident Evil 4. For ages people have been going on about it and how its the best thing ever, and I wasn't convinced. Anyway I completed it last week and it really is the greatest thing ever. If any of you haven't played it - DO SO NOW. I played it on the Wii, and I think thats an easier version of the game due to the freedom you have with the aiming.

Lots of art to show you!
First of all, Egoraptor has drawn the ultimate Detective Grimoire picture. Its always humbling when you receive art that far exceeds your own. Thanks Ego!
Rebecca has sent us a good old fashion piece of Decline artwork! This one is really great.
I drew a James the Zebra picture with all the zebras together! *gasp*.
Also, I've been (secretly) playing the new Harry Potter game on the Wii. Its great, actually. But I got annoyed w
